JOURNAL: Mysore Style, consider your own accountability + daily discipline thru this lens. Create a 30 day plan, for practice with at least 6 days off (1 day every week, plus Full + New moon days). What are your tools for success? .5 hrs, YTT5.
Consider your own lineage. Include my own info about our “old-school” teaching lineage and the true meaning of Ashtanga Yoga. Revisit the Family Tree exercise from Module 2, Section 1: WATCH: The 8 Limbs and our family/philosophy tree with Chrissy. CREATE: a visual representation of your own being, feel free to include important places and philosophies or values (like the 8 limb tree on p 52 of your YTT manual) as well people like the lineage chart (on p 50) and/or any other strong influences on your self… Upload a photo and write a description of this to our 300 hour media album! Up to 2 hrs, YTT4.
WATCH Defining Yoga + Teacher with Chrissy. BRAINSTORM words that come to mind when you think the word YOGA and the word TEACHER. READ Yoga Sutras 1:1+2 with the interpretation. This class was borrowed from Module 1, Section 3… Let’s elaborate:
Can you think of a time when you felt shy, scared or intimidated to say something because of someone else’s “authority” or “status”?

CREATE a Progressive Sequence that encourages memorization and repetition.
Consider a lesson plan that teaches on movement, asana, sound or breath at a time. Slowly repeating and building through out until 5 or more “moves” are linked together.
EMAIL this lesson plan to Chrissy. Try to keep it VERY simple, and VERY repetitive so that anyone could memorize it with a little effort. Think SUCESS!

This month, the Mysore teaching methodology, memorization, discipline and repetition all speaks to healthy brain functioning, too. So cool!!
