• 5. PRACTICE TEACHING EXERCISE… Find at least one person to talk to for 10 or 15 minutes who agrees to learning your definition of Yoga and a brief look at the 8 limbs. See if you can give a comprehensive description of the terms and history/philosophy of Yoga and the 8 Limbs in 10-15 minutes and then ask if they have any questions. PREPARE THIS, write a script +/or outline and keep track of time. JOURNAL about the experience afterwards. At least .5 hrs, YTT5.

  • 3. 1 hour *YTT5 - CREATE A STANDING SEQUENCE OF YOUR OWN, at least 5 postures (up to 10 maximum), all with at LEAST 1 modification or variation/option. UPLOAD a photo of the notes or sketches you used for planning this sequence. Learning how to plan and remember sequences from nots will be a crucial part of becoming a competent yoga teacher. Spend at least 1 hour on this!!!

  • 5. (PART 2: see MODULE 4, SECTION 4, #5, YTT2 for part 1) Then, think about the asanas we discussed in class and see if you can come up with an asana of your own for each chakra? Why did you chose the ones you did? UPLOAD a screenshot or photo to our MEDIA album. Have fun with this! 1 hour, YTT5.

  • 4. TEACH a style of pranayama. First come up with a plan. How many reps, what kind, for how long, intro, closing, etc… PRACTICE this class with someone you know as your student online or in-person. ASK them for critical feedback. YTT5, 1 hr.


  • 5. PRACTICUM: Consider the 5 elements on p 10 in your YTT manual. Using your knowledge so far create a lesson plan to teach with the goal being introducing and explaining these 5 elements (physically AND energetically). Then find a student and practice teach, OR upload a recording of your class to our media album. YTT5, 1 hour
